Bloomé App Design

Bloomé is a fashion brand inspired by women and womanhood. The designs draw from nature, and once you wear them, you will become a part of it. Bloomé clothes are produced in the most responsible and ethical way possible. That's why the brand integrates sustainability into everything they do, making thoughtful decisions about who they work with, how they work and what materials are used.

About the project

Bloomé is an ethical brand that is growing in popularity across Europe, therefore they needed an app to capture the essence of the brand and facilitate their customer's online shopping. The goal of the project is to create an app easy to use and where the user will be able to personalise their preferences at all times.

Design Toolkit

My role

I led the Product Design - User Interface (UI) and UX research - of this project, from the first phases of design process, understanding user pain points, defining user needs and coming with ideas to solve them to wireframing and designing final screens and prototypes.

Main tasks
  • Define user’s needs & Ideation
  • Building the Project Vision
  • Planning and scope definition
  • User Interface & Experience

Personas and user pain points

Checking the profile of the existing customers who buy at the shop, and analising the comments and pain points they normally experience buying clothes, a serie of personas were created to represent some of those profiles. Here an example:

User Journey and User Flow

Taking into account all the user's pain points, the app needs to incorporate a filter as a key feature to allow the user to personalise the profile and adjust it. Empathising with the user, I sketched the following user journey:

Wireframes

After all the research work, empathatise with the user  and discover the pain points, it was time to work on the wireframes and see the structure and flow of the screens in real time. Here some examples of the wireframes screens pointing the personalise key feature:

User Interface Designs &Prototype

Although the website contains a heavy amount of content, the final design creates a good balance between graphics, motion and copy which makes the whole user experience attractive and entertaining.
